How We’re Making an Impact on Breast Cancer with Your Help

Giving back to the fight against breast cancer is what we do—and we couldn’t do it without you.

If you’ve spotted the pink ribbon on the box of your favorite lash or brow serum (or any of our products), then you might know that a portion of the proceeds from every purchase helps fund breast cancer research, education, and support for patients and their families. This month, your pink special-edition serum purchase makes an even bigger impact, with $2 from each sale going to support breast cancer charities.*

We’ve made this commitment to honor the strength and courage of our Co-Founder Gayle Brinkenhoff, who battled metastatic breast cancer, and of women everywhere whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Today, we’re giving you a closer look at the incredible efforts your support has made possible so far this year.

Improving Breast Cancer Outcomes in Ethiopia

Your purchases of our 2022 pink special-edition lash & brow serums raised $50,000 for City of Hope’s Ethiopia Breast Cancer Initiative—an amazing achievement that was recognized by the White House at an official event commending private sector businesses whose philanthropic efforts are furthering cancer research in Africa. This year, our pink products will continue to support this important work; our goal is to raise another $40,000 to donate (and you can help!).

Here’s how this donation is making an impact in an underserved region of the world:

  • Nursing Education: A pilot program is training 30 nurses in cancer care, screening, pain and symptom management, and counseling patients and their families.
  • Pathology Capacity Building: This project is improving breast cancer diagnosis and treatment by training laboratory technicians in Ethiopia & other African countries—over 250 technicians have participated.
  • Oncology Unit Projects: This work—including a patient advocacy project, research infrastructure & more—is strengthening breast cancer treatment at a hospital in Hawassa, Ethiopia that serves 23 million people.

Raising Funds for Lifesaving Research

In May, RevitaLash® Cosmetics was proud to be a presenting sponsor for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital 16th Annual Women’s Health Luncheon.

As one of the largest women’s health fundraisers in New England, the luncheon supports the work of the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, a national leader and change agent in women’s health.

`We were proud to present the Gayle Brinkenhoff IGNITE award, furthering cancer research while honoring our co-founder’s legacy. This award supports the work of a junior researcher at BWH with a grant of $50,000. This year’s recipient, Zuzana Tatrova, PhD, is conducting important work using novel approaches in order to overcome treatment resistance and improve the potential for breast cancer therapies.

Celebrating the Community & Supporting Breast Cancer Patients

Also in May, we partnered with UK-based organization Future Dreams to sponsor their fashion show charity event. The event featured 32 models from the breast cancer community strutting down the catwalk wearing the newest collections from leading high street brands, and makeup looks from RevitaLash® Cosmetics. The event was a huge success, raising over £150,000 to go toward providing breast cancer patients with confidence-saving emotional, practical, and psychological support needed when faced with a difficult diagnosis.

Future Dreams is an organization that provides practical and emotional support for those diagnosed with breast cancer, promotes health awareness, and funds vital secondary breast cancer research. In October 2021, the charity opened Future Dreams House, the only dedicated breast cancer support center in the UK. We were proud to support the incredibly important work they do with this event…and with more to come.

Giving Back to Local Charities Around the World

Our products are sold in over 70 countries, which allows us to join with our international partners to make a global impact on breast cancer. This year, our October Greater Giving initiative will match the donations of each of our participating global partners to a local breast cancer charity of their choice. Together, we’re making a local impact on a global scale—and we can’t wait to share the results soon.

*Up to a maximum donation of $170,000.
