Beauty & Brains

Beauty vs brains…the age-old argument to determine which is more meaningful is far reaching.  But really, which is better?

Beauty is that which catches our eye and initially draws us in with that visual “first impression.” Our eyes know what we like, and when we see it, it’s instinctual.  But brains – brains pique and keep our interest.  Brains, intelligence and intellect are the “slow burn” of the relationship, allowing us to make an emotional connection over an extended period of time. Yes, our eyes know what they like - but as thinking, intelligent beings, our minds do too!

Is it possible to find the holy-grail of combinations – beauty and  brains? When it comes to intelligent beauty we say, “yes!”, you can have both – look no further than RevitaLash Cosmetics.

Established in 2006, our story began with just one product – our original lash conditioning serum – inspired by the immense love between our founder and his beloved wife Gayle, as a solution to help her feel beautiful during her courageous fight against breast cancer. The success of that single, original product spanned an entire collection of beauty-enhancing, solution-oriented cosmetics designed to revitalize the natural beauty and inner spirit of all women.

As an Ophthalmologist-founded brand, it is our mission to create products that are not only results-driven, but that are safe to use and free from unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients. At RevitaLash® Cosmetics, we believe that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it, and we keep this in mind when formulating each and every one of our products. Read on to find out more about what you can always expect from each RevitaLash Cosmetics product.

Cruelty Free

According to the Humane Society International, 500,000 animals undergo testing yearly. At RevitaLash Cosmetics, the health and safety of our customers is just as important to us as the health and safety of our furry friends. We are proud to state that we are completely cruelty free, meaning we do not test our products on animals. In addition, RevitaLash Cosmetics is gearing towards becoming completely vegan friendly by 2021, with 75% of our products already there.

Dermatologist Reviewed/ Clinically Tested

As an Ophthalmologist-founded brand, safety and science are two of the main pillars of RevitaLash Cosmetics. We hold ourselves to the highest standards when formulating products and believe that anything you put on your body should be clinically tested and dermatologist reviewed, ensuring the utmost safety and results for our customers.

No Parabens

Parabens were first introduced to beauty in the 1950’s, and are often used to prolong the shelf life and help prevent growth of bacteria and mold in skincare and makeup products. While this may sound like a good thing, studies have shown that our bodies are able to absorb parabens and that they may have an effect on our hormones. While the beauty community remains divided on the effects of parabens, we prefer the “safe not sorry” route, formulating all our products without parabens but with other effective antimicrobials.

No Phthalates

Phthalates, also known as plasticizers, help moisturize, soften, and allow fragrances and perfumes to adhere to the skin. Researchers have found that certain phthalates can act as endocrine disruptors in rodents, and many experts worry that consistent exposure can be just as harmful to humans. There are still many unanswered questions about phthalates, but because research remains inconclusive, we prefer to keep our products (and bodies) free from this controversial ingredient.

Non-Irritating & Hypoallergenic

“Sensitive skin” is a pretty common phrase in the beauty world. With so many products on the market, it can be overwhelming and difficult to distinguish what products have irritating ingredients, allergens, or are harsh on sensitive skin or, more importantly, the eye area. At RevitaLash Cosmetics, we aim to make it simple for our customers by making our entire line both non-irritating and hypoallergenic. This means each product is free from harsh ingredients, common irritants and allergens.  Of course, some people may have a sensitivity to certain ingredients that are otherwise considered non-irritating, so it is always a good idea to check the ingredient list before trying a new product.

So, when it comes to beauty vs. brains, we say you can have both -  and shouldn’t settle for anything less! At RevitaLash Cosmetics, we create each of our products with this in mind, knowing that results don’t need to come at the cost of health, and that it is possible to stay away from unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients while still creating products that make you feel like best version of yourself.
