4 Beauty Products You Should Store in Your Fridge

Ever heard of a beauty fridge? Well, it’s time to incorporate this term into your vernacular. Beauty fridges are essentially mini fridges that allow you to store your beauty products in a controlled setting, thus helping them last longer or make them more efficacious. Over the years, beauty fridges have become extremely popular in Korea and have slowly gained steam globally, finally landing in the states. But you don’t need to store your entire skincare lineup in the fridge, in fact, there’s only a handful of products that benefit from a cooler temperature – read on to find out more!

Sheet Masks

Sheet masks already feel lovely at any temperature, but storing them in a beauty fridge just brings them to the next level. After a day at the beach or a hot workout, nothing feels better than relaxing with a cold sheet mask.

Face Mists

There’s nothing more refreshing than a cool face mist on a hot, humid day. We love rose-based face mist formulas because of its soothing properties, along with the refreshing scent.

Eye Creams

Things like too much salt or a bad night’s sleep can often make for puffy eyes, especially first thing in the morning. Combat the puffiness with an eye cream straight from your beauty fridge – the temperature will aid in vasoconstriction – meaning it decreases flow of liquid to the eye area. The result? Calm, soothed skin, sans puffiness.

Skincare Tools

Jade rollers, face sculptors, and firming wands – beauty fridges were made for you. Storing these products in cooler temperatures only helps the puff-decreasing powers of your favorite facial tool, and feels amazing, too!

What Else to Know

Not every product is made for beauty fridges! Anything oil-based, especially products containing coconut oil, should remain at a room temperature, as they might separate or become too solid. It’s also not a great idea to forget to put products back in the fridge – constant changes in temperature can be rough on formulations. Lastly, any product that is preservative-free should be kept in a fridge to help ward off bacteria and prolong its shelf life.
